Project Duty
Identify the application, target depth, bore diameter and expected formation.
Drilling rig selection starts with the work to be completed. A model name or maximum-depth claim does not describe the complete duty. Define the bore, formation, drilling method, site access, power and supporting equipment before comparing supplier proposals.
Identify the application, target depth, bore diameter and expected formation.
Confirm the drilling method, mounting arrangement, site access and transport constraints.
List power requirements, drilling tools, circulation equipment, spare parts, documentation and delivery destination.
Compare quotations against the same project requirements. Ask the supplier to identify the rig configuration, power arrangement, drilling tools, supporting equipment, accessories, documentation, delivery terms and exclusions. If a proposal recommends a different drilling method or configuration, request the reason and compare the effect on the full supply scope.
Send one project specification so rig configurations and included equipment can be compared consistently.
